I have created a YouTube video explaining two methods of using drag and drop with Access database objects.
Both methods work with any Access object and have been available since Access 97 (25 years ago) BUT it seems that many experienced developers are not aware of one or both features.
1. Create Access object shortcuts on the desktop
Click the shortcut to open the database directly to that object - this can save a lot of time!
2. Transfer objects from one open database to another
This is usually much easier than using the wizard to import objects. Extra care is needed with linked tables (drag the object twice and tell Access to save as a linked table)
The video is available on YouTube at https://youtu.be/uQp8jCqmoAw or you can click below:
I hope you find one or both methods useful
